Cons:
Large, shared storage: when one goes down, they all go down, and due to the volume of data (2 TB) it takes a significant amount of time to recover from an outage when the data must be restored or moved.
Hosted by Atrema: perhaps you would feel more at ease knowing your data is stored by a larger provider such as Microsoft or Google.
Exchange
Pros:
Hosted by Atrema: the server is hosted within our datacenter so your data stays in Alberta, Canada. When privacy laws of your business dictate that your data cannot leave the country this may be your best option.
Includes Support: Atrema provides full Technical Support for your emails on this plan at no additional charge.
Cons:
Cost: since the server is dedicated to your domain, we have minimum quantities that need to be enforced. While each individual account is not cost prohibitive, if you only require a few email addresses, you are still subject to the plan minimum which will increase your cost per actual account.
Microsoft 365
Pros:
Hosted by Microsoft: Microsoft has large economies of scale to provide a robust network of servers to host their email services.
Cons:
Technical Support: Microsoft will not provide end-user support for your email services. Atrema does offer a comprehensive support add on for your Microsoft 365 services. The add-on is subject to a minimum quantity and 12-month minimum contract.
Hosted by Microsoft: Microsoft cannot guarantee that your data will remain in Canada.
Google Workspace
Pros:
